Melissani Lake:
Boat-ride in the Cave of Melissani: The Cave of Melissani is located close to the town of Sami, about 20km from Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. It is without a doupt one of the most significant places for tourist to visit in Kefalonia. Surprisingly there is a lake inside the cave that has trees and forests surrounding it. The sight is simply magical. The cave itself has the shape of a B with 2 chambers separated with an island in the middle. The roof of one of the chambers has caved in centuries ago letting now the sunlight shine into the lake and making it a breath-taking sight. When the sun is right above at noon, the sunlight hitting the turquoise-blue waters create a magical illusion and the whole cave of Melissani suddenly fills with blue light. At noon is the best time to visit the cave and enjoy a relaxing boat-ride with a traditional boat at the lake. The cave of Melissani is 36m high, 40m wide and 3.5m long. A balcony was built on top of the cave for tourists to get a spectacular view of the inside from the top. The lake has a depth of 20 to 30m. There is also stalactites and stalagmites in the cave that enhance even more its beauty. The cave of Melissani leaves a memorable and lasting impression to everyone who visits it.

Drogarati cave:
Drogarati's Cave, which is close to Sami, was discovered 300 years ago, when a part of it was destroyed because of a strong earthquake, and so the entrance was created.
The cave's depth is 60m. from the ground level and it is open for the public since 1963.
It's got many stalactites and stalagmites created from the rain. In the big hall of the cave (900m2), call "Sala of Apotheosis" because of its perfect acoustics, are organized music and other shows.

Myrtos beach:
Myrtos is without doubt one of the most important poles of attraction in Kefalonia. It is located 30km north of Argostoli, in a beautiful area around huge verdant hills. Myrtos beach has gained worldwide reputation and has been constantly included in travel magazines among the best beaches in Greece and in the world. It has been awarded many times for its cleanness and the natural beauty. The beach has a semi-circular shape surrounded by impressive white rocky cliffs with lush vegetation on top of them creating a spectacular setting. The lush green area, the abrupt terrain, the white pebbles and the crystal waters compose a stunning scenery. The beach is well-organized at the most part with umbrellas and sundecks while a small part remains completely unspoilt, ideal for total isolation. The natural beauty of Myrtos is the trademark of Kefalonia and one of the most photographed places in Greece. It is affected by the strong winds. The western coast of Myrtos offers spectacular sunset visitors have direct access to a wide range of facilities and a nice sack bar offering cold drinks. Myrtos is easily accessed by all means of transport. While descending the beach, you will enjoy some amazing views.

Assos is a cosy and charming village located 36km north of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. It is built on a small peninsula and it is most known for its 16th century Venetian castle that totaly worths a visit. The traditional architecture, the peaceful landscape and the pebbled beaches compose the natural beauty of Assos. In the village there are colorful houses with pink and white blooms, lovely paths and old traditional churches. Visitors are mostly attracted by the little taverns that are just above the bay. The visit to the castle requires a long walk through the olive tree forest thus making it quite relaxing and refreshing.

Fiscardo village:
Fiskardo is a beautiful village located 50 km north of the capital of Kefalonia (Argostoli). Unlike the rest of the villages and towns of Kefalonia, Fiskardo remained untouched by the major earthquake of 1953, thus making it prettily scenic and picturesque. The village of Fiskardo is also the northemost port of Kefalonia at which every summer come many private yachts giving it a cosmopolitan and warm atmoshpere. There is great amount of tourism in this cosy village but it manages to hold its beuty and uniqueness against all odds. The main costal road hosts many shops, taverns and bars that welcome tourists. Nearby the village there are many beautiful pebbled beaches and coves with crystilline waters and also the ruins of a Palaeolithic settlement and plenty of Byzantine churches.
